The 'Villa Rachele' situated on the headland 'Puncia' was once owned by Cesare Beccaria, where he was reputed to have entertained many famous writers.

Sala Comacina lies at the foot of Monte Costone, which makes a wonderful backdrop. Here you will find a good public beach and the idyllic lake front location makes this village so appealing. There are also restaurants, bars, shops and a bank in addition to a regular ferry service.
